Tribeca 2012 Preview: Cinemania & Viewpoints

Tribeca 2012 kicks off tomorrow and we've got another installment of our preview series for your perusal this morning. Yesterday we took a look at the TFF2012's Galas & Competitions, today we tour the midnight-ish Cinemania and boundary-bending Viewpoints sections. Check back this afternoon as we wrap up our previews with a look at the gigantic Spotlight section of films.

French director Frederic Jardin's hard boiled night-in-a-nightclub actioner was enough of a hit at Toronto (and Fantastic Fest!) to the tune of netting a big remake deal with Warner Bros.

REVENGE FOR JOLLY!
First-timer Chadd Harbold put together an all-star cast including Oscar Isaac, Elijah Wood, Kristen Wiig, Adam Brody, and Ryan Phillippe alongside screenwriter and star Brian Petsos in this violent comedy about a murdered dog and the rampage that ensues.

JACKPOT
The Norwegian action comedy by Magnus Martens looks like a whole lot of fast-paced fun.
