Your First Look At The Poster And Synopsis For L Gustavo Cooper's Short Film THE HOME
This Spring keep an eye out for a new proof-of-concept/short film from June director L Gustavo Cooper called The Home. It is going to hit the festival circuit first to drum up some interest in turning it into a feature film but from what Gus has shared with me over the last few days that should not be a problem. This looks nice, dark and twisted, and based on European folklore from the late 19th and early 20th century.

ScreenAnarchy is pleased to share with you this sick looking poster and the official synopsis and cast announcement for this project. Hopefully we can share more with you as the project starts lining up festival dates after Winter's thaw.

The Home is the latest proof-of-concept/short from director L. Gustavo Cooper (June, Velvet Road). Teamed up with actor/writer Peter Cilella (Resolution) the project is set in Ireland at a 19th century home for pregnant women out of wedlock, The Home tells the story of a young pregnant woman fighting for her sanity (and her unborn child) as an ancient evil descends on the convent.

Starring Alex Essoe (Starry Eyes, Passion Play), Andy McPhee (Wolf Creek, Sons of Anarchy) and Produced by Devin Ward (The Invitation, Parallels) Duane A. Sikes (June, Velvet Road) and L. Gustavo Cooper, the finished project will appear in festival circuits spring of 2016.

Heading up the visual effects and lending a hand in production is Lon Molnar and Canadian effects company Intelligent Creatures

Gus is certainly keeping himself busy these days with The Home being just one of a number of things that I know he's got going on. When he is not thrashing the local skate park he has himself surrounded by a lot of good people down in L.A. that will be able to harness his powers for good.

Or evil.

Evil is fine too.
