Here at ScreenAnarchy we try to cover films from as many regions as possible, but I will admit that the bulk of our Indian film coverage goes toward the three biggest Industries: Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu language films. Once in a while, though, something will squeak through from the other regional cinemas that looks too good to ignore. This time around, it's a film from Mollywood, the Malayalam language film industry headquartered in Kerala, India.

Double Barrel is an upcoming comedy thriller from director Lilo Jose Pellissery, a relative newcomer to the Malayalam film scene with an impressive track record over the last five years. The film stars big regional stars (and brothers) Prithviraj and Indrajith Sukumaran as well as Tamil film performer Arya. I don't know enough about the director or stars to go into too much more detail, but this trailer really grabbed my attention, and I think you'll really enjoy it as well.

Double Barrel is produced by August Cinema, an artist-owned company founded by Prithviraj, Arya, Shaji Nadesan, and star cinematographer Santhosh Sivan. The film is scheduled to release on August 27th, though I have no idea about international distribution. We'll definitely keep an eye on this one!
