James Wan Confirmed For AQUAMAN And ROBOTECH
THR's Heat Vision Blog just reported that Furious 7 and The Conjuring director James Wan is now confirmed for DC's Aquaman and Sony's big screen adaptation of Robotech

"The Aquaman film will be a major tentpole picture for us and James's span of work has proven him able to take on any manner of project, bringing his incredible creative talent and unique voice to the material," said Greg Silverman, the studio's president, creative development and worldwide production.

Reports suggest that Wan will begin to tackle this project once he has finished working on The Conjuring: The Endfield Experiment. He will work with screenwriter Kurt Johnstad (Act of Valor and the 300 films) in the meantime.

Aquaman is scheduled for a release in 2018, which I presume means Robotech should not be expected any time before that.

A Robotech movie? Really? Alright, I just hope they don't screw it.
