WEDNESDAY 04:45: Take a Look At The First Teaser For Tribeca Selected Thriller
It was all the way back in 2008 that we first fell in love with the work of Greek director Alexis Alexiou here at ScreenAnarchy. The occasion was his debut feature Tale 52 and we expected great things to come. We just didn't expect them to take this long to get here.

Greece has been through some tumultuous financial times in recent years, a reality that has made it very difficult for many Greek talents to find financing for their projects, but Alexiou is back now with his sophomore project - a dark thriller titled Wednesday 04:45, which has just been announced as part of the World Narrative Competition at Tribeca.

A life's work becomes a prison for jazz club owner Stelios when a shady Romanian gangster calls in his debts. This gripping, underworld drama is a parable on the perils of accumulated debt, and a depiction of the descent of a mostly decent man. Director Alexis Alexiou perfectly balances the complex emotions that drive a man to take the most drastic measures available.

We're proud to present the first teaser for Alexiou's latest work. Take a look below.
