THE MAGNIFICENT SEVEN: Haley Bennett Takes Lead Female Role

Deadline reported yesterday that Haley Bennett has landed the lead female role and reunite with The Equalizer's Antoine Fuqua and his go at The Magnificent Seven. She joins Denzel Washinton and Chris Pratt.

In the pic, a town is taken over by a ruthless gold mining baron and his thugs. She plays the widow of a man who was murdered, and hires a bounty hunter to get rid of the baron and his thugs, and gives the bounty hunter enough money to pay six gunmen to help him in the cause.

If you have not heard of Bennett you will be hearing about her a lot soon. She stars in Terrence Malick and Warren Beatty's untitled projects, both in post. Also in post is the sci-fi thriller, the Russia-set Hardcore, with Sharlto Copley. She is currently filming Andy Goddard's The Blunderer.
