SXSW 2015: DEATHGASM Trailer Teases Heavy Metal, Blood, And More Blood
Do you like heavy metal? Do you like blood? If the answer to both is "yes," have I got a trailer for you!
Deathgasm will have its world premiere at SXSW in Austin, Texas next month as part of the Midnighters program. Its official synopsis, via the festival, is short and sweet:
New kid in town Brodie and bad-boy Zakk quickly bond over their mutual admiration of heavy metal. But when these two metal thrashing losers unwittingly summon malevolent forces, their dreams of stardom may just have to be put on hold.
The cast is led by Milo Cawthorne (Blood Punch), James Blake, Kimberley Crossman (Power Rangers Samurai), and Stephen Ure (The Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit). Jason Lei Howden directed. Among the producers is New Zealand stalwart Ant Timpson, who has a good track record.
Frankly, I am not a fan of heavy metal music (no offense). But I enjoy an on-screen blood bath as much as the next horror movie maniac, and so I'm hoping that Deathgasm delivers some memorable mayhem. Watch the teaser below.
