PHOENIX 9: A Better Future Is Waiting For You In This Sci-Fi Short
Case in point, German filmmaking duo Peer Gopfrich and Amir Reichart, and their short film Phoenix 9. Gopfrich wrote and produced Phoenix 9 while Reichart directed and edited this proof of concept short film which they hope could lead to a feature film.
Though the short may start a bit shaky the duo have presented a conundrum reminiscent of The Twilight Zone or The Outer Limits. They seamlessly blend CG and high tech elements with live action. Phoenix 9 looks as polished as any modestly budgets production currently on the small or big screen.After a global nuclear war has turned earth into a scorched wasteland, a struggling group of survivors discovers a secret installation that offers a new beginning - but not without a catch...
