Fox And Marvel Set Early 2016 Release Date For DEADPOOL Film
Twentieth Century Fox and Marvel Studios have set a date for the too-long coming Deadpool film, according to The Hollywood Reporter. And it is just in time for Valentine's Day, kids!

Mark February 12, 2016 off on your calendars and start striking up conversations with that cute guy or girl who works in housewares! Lay down that groundwork now so you're ready for the big date! Is it not fitting that Deadpool is dressed in red?

Mostly everyone will point to the leaked test footage (see below) that came out a couple of months ago as the catalyst that moved this project from limbo to a priority. And though Ryan Reynolds has not been confirmed to take on the role he played in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, he nevertheless commented on the leak in a recent interview back on September 1, suggesting reaction to the footage would show studio execs there is significant interest in the project.

"The movie has been in a state of limbo for a while. There was such an overpowering reaction to the footage, you sort of feel like, 'Oh, so we weren't crazy for our reasons for loving this character, for loving this role.' It's interesting to see the power of the Internet. It's awe-inspiring, actually," the actor told the Niagara Falls Review. "And it's neat that Twitter and Facebook and Instagram can move mountains when used in the right way."

Deadpool would be the feature directing debut for Tim Miller. His previous work includes visual effects on Scott Pilgrim vs. The World and the title sequence for The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo through Blur Studio.
