Moscow 2072 Is Plagued By MAFIA In New SciFi

Some things change while others stay the same. That appears to be part of the guiding principal behind Saric Andreassian's upcoming Russian science fiction film Mafia (Мафия). Set in a 2072 Moscow clearly littered with new technology, progress has not eliminated the presence of organized crime.

Andreassian seems something of an odd choice for this sort of glossy, effects driven spectacle given that his background is almost exclusively in comedy but the first teaser has arrived to showcase some of the design and VFX work and though things are still quite early it looks good thus far.
