Indonesian Indie THE SUN, THE MOON & THE HURRICANE Reaches For The Heart In First Trailer
The Sun, The Moon & The Hurricane marks the first feature by young Indonesian indie film director Andri Cung after his directing gig in 3SUM, an anthology consisting of three short films with three different genres that released theatrically in Indonesia earlier this year.  His previous short film Red Umbrella is pretty impressive, winning Best Asian Short Film at Screen Singapore in 2011.

Sendi Sugiharto (Lovely Man, Shackled), the executive producer, stated: "It's rare that a wonderful story, which has the right elements that touch your heart promptly, comes your way. The Sun, The Moon & The Hurricane is one of those projects".

Here's the official synopsis.
A story of one man's journey in finding and losing happiness, love and the meaning of life. How he witness people around him change, how himself change, all simply to adapt, to survive. How all events in his life and people he met shaped his life and destiny. A story of the ever changing human. The endless search of happiness, the struggle to grow up and the battle with loneliness.
Among the young cast is Natalius Chendana (3SUM), winner of The Most Favorite New Comer in Indonesia Movie Award 2013, as well as William Tjokro and Gesata Stella. Shot in Bangkok, Bali and Jakarta, with no more than 20 crew members and a micro budget, the film is finally wrapped, and here's your chance to see the first glimpse of it.

(Full disclosure: I was involved in some of the principal photography of The Sun, The Moon & The Hurricane.)
