Blue Collar Hero Takes A Coffee Break In First Teaser For Filipino Tokusatsu Comedy BLUE BUSTAMANTE
Though the premise will certainly draw comparisons to recent - and much higher budgeted - Taiwanese effort Machi Action, there's a definite charm to the first teaser for Miko Livelo's CinemaOne Originals project Blue Bustamante. A comedy revolving around an out of work Filipino overseas worker who somehow lands a gig playing a superhero on Japanese television there's an appealing blue collar ethic to this, the sets and suits clearly all hand made, while the story taps into an underlying reality of life in the Philippines - namely that the country's most visible export is its people.

The teaser is brief and - unfortunately - not subtitled, but it's a winner. Take a look below.
