BAE DOONA Is Ready For Her Extreme Close-up, Mr. deMille!

(It's been a while since we did one of these...)

There are many things worth looking at in the trailer for "Cloud Atlas" but one thesp in particular is noteworthy: the Korean actress Bae Doona.

Despite having been a ScreenAnarchy favorite for... well, as long as there is ScreenAnarchy basically, Bae Doona hasn't starred in that many films yet (so this quiz ought not to be the most difficult one in the series). And while she may not be exactly a supermodel in looks, with every single role she has managed to set my heart aflutter. Few actors can appear either so warm or cold, hesitant or bold, and stay as flat-out endearing as Bae Doona. She is one of those people who make stellar acting seem too easy.


So once again I'm going to use a turn in the ScreenAnarchy-O-Meter to do a gallery of 5 close-ups of one of my favorite actors. Guess which 5 movies they're from. The shot above is from "Cloud Atlas" and does not count.
