Check Out The Trailer For Chiyaan Vikram's RAJAPATTAI!

The first full trailer for Chiyaan Vikram's new Kollywood masala blowout, Rajapattai is online. Vikram has been recently featured on these pages for the recent critical and box office darling, Deiva Thirumagal.  This was the I Am Sam clone featuring dinosaurs attacking a colonial village and a man fighting a giant snake. Vikram is also a veteran of many high profile successful Indian blockbusters like Kanthaswamy, about a superhero in a chicken suit, and Anniyan, where he played a crazy haired serial killer.

I can't quite get a grip on what Rajapattai is actually about.  If you trust Wikipedia, the story either, "revolves around the issue of land grabbing and how the protagonist becomes involved in it", or, "Vikram is currently filming for Rajapattai alongside Deeksha Seth under the direction of Suseenthiran where he plays a henchman trying to get a break in the Tamil film industry". Hey, whatever, this is India, so it's probably the same film.

This is all fairly ho-hum news, but what really got my attention is the trailer.  For the first minute or so, it's pretty standard stuff, but then, around 1:10...

HOLY SHIT!

That is a GNARLY looking stunt!

I can't really say much more about it. I jumped out of my seat immediately and had to watch it again. That can't be safe.  Seriously, check it out. Rajapattai will hit theaters worldwide on December 16th.
