Trailer Lands for Jonathan Levine's Solid Looking 50/50

Call it a generational thing, but I stand by my assertion that The Wackness is one of the very best films of the last 10 years - and woefully under-appreciated. That story of sex, drugs, and hip-hop came from deeply personal place in the heart of writer/director Jonathan Levine and left its fans wanting more.

Finally Levine is back directing another intensely personal film, albeit this time from writer/cancer survivor Will Reiser (yes, he's Paul's cousin). 50/50 tells the story of a 20-something year old played by Joseph Gordon-Levitt as he struggles to cope with what might be a terminal diagnosis. But wait - this isn't all coffin shopping and hankie blowing. Levine and Reiser are going for more of the witty fun method of dealing with mortality. The film co-stars Seth Rogen, Anna Kendrick and Anjelica Huston and drops from Summit on September 30th.
