From HIGH KICK GIRL To Female Ninja, The KUNOICHI Trailer Arrives

What happens when the director of Alien Versus Ninja meets the star of High Kick Girl and Karate Girl (KG)? Kunoichi is what happens, the latest film from ninja fixated director Seiji Chiba with star Rina Takeda. Chiba has made ninja films of all types - though pretty much only one budget level - from the ultra serious through to, well, the glorious silliness of Alien Versus Ninja. Kunoichi looks to basically split the difference. It doesn't verge into full on silliness but it doesn't take itself all that seriously, either.

Takeda stars as Kisaragi, a young woman kidnapped from her village of ninja warriors along with three other women by members of a rival ninja clan. But the thing about kidnapping ninjas is that they're ninjas. They tend to put up a fight. Cue fighting.

The trailer for this one arrived on the official website earlier today and you can find it below. Fans of Chiba's AVN may recognize some locations. That's definitely the same cave being used again and I'm reasonably certain that he's using the temple location from AVN as well.
