Johnny Rotten Appears In Norwegian Punk Rock Coming Of Age Tale SONS OF NORWAY

Keep watching the first teaser for Jens Lien's Sons Of Norway: Theory And Practice all the way to the end. Because, yes, that really is who you think it is.

After running the international festival circuit with his Kafka-esque dark comedy The Bothersome Man a few years back director Lien turned to more personal material for his follow up, a novel by Nikolaj Frobenius detailing the experience of growing up Norwegian at the height of the punk rock revolution.

SONS OF NORWAY is an energetic film about revolt, punk rock, suburban hell and the eternal struggle between freaks and punks. And it's not least a touching story of an unusual father-son relationship, and about the strength of the bonds we sometimes do our best to rip apart.
Though this one doesn't release until September they've just released an early first teaser, one that looks to be brimming with energy and revolt. Plus a lot of nudity from the lingering Nordic hippy community. And there at the end? Yes, that is a cameo by Mr John Lydon, aka Johnny Rotten himself - the lead singer of The Sex Pistols.
