Eddie Alcazar Enters The Collective Consciousness With 0000

How do you do indie scifi right? You find your core concept, you work it until it's perfect, and then you do whatever is necessary to bring it into reality. That's the basic approach of director Eddie Alcazar who, along with his core team, have been developing their collective consciousness project 0000 for three years now. Here's how they describe it:

The mind of one man will galvanize a global revolution. His technology will birth a new era of human existence and social connection, but this great gift is rooted in dark tragedy. If he is to survive, he will need the help of many, and if we are to survive, our awareness must grow.

Alcazar and company are aiming to begin principal photography in October and in preparation for that have just shot a test reel for the film to get the look of the world and the effects right. Shot on 16mm, the result is very impressive stuff, reminiscent in some ways of Pi, and you can check it out below.
