Move into THE TOWN

Ben Affleck is back behind the camera directing his follow-up to the pretty great Gone Baby Gone but this time he steps in front of the lens as well for the crime thriller, The Town. 

The Town, co-starring Rebecca Hall, Jon Hamm, Jeremy Renner, Blake Lively and Chris Cooper is an adaptation of the Chuck Hogan novel, Prince of Thieves and tells the story of a bank robber in love.

I'm getting Heat-vibes from this puppy, but that's not a bad thing. And those bank robbers sure wear some scary disguises. Geez.

It's interesting that the trailer says, "From the acclaimed director of Gone Baby Gone," hiding the fact that Affleck is said acclaimed director. Nothing to be ashamed of. Affleck pulled some great natural performances from his cast in Gone Baby Gone and we can hope he does the same here. I like Affleck. He's a charming screen presence and I'm happy about his recent career moves.
