Matt Reeves' LET ME IN Cast Announced
LET ME IN is Matt Reeves' retitled American adaptation of LET THE RIGHT ONE IN. Overture and the recently resurrected Hammer films are co-producing. And now we have the initial cast...

Kodi Smit-McPhee will be in the Oscar role, now called Owen. Smit-McPhee appears with Viggo Mortensen in the finally to be released McCarty adap. THE ROAD. Chloe Moretz (500 DAYS OF SUMMER) will be playing our little vampire, Eli... *ahem* I mean Abby.
And last, but certainly not least, the always reliable Richard Jenkins will be taking the Hakan role (English name yet to be announced).

I can't say I'm enthused Reeves' film is happening (being fast tracked for a November shoot start date), but I can't say I'm surprised either, and there is enough material in John Ajvede Lindqvist's novel that did not make it into Tomas Alfredson's film adaptation last year, to where we could have a somewhat fresh take on this story. The likely hood of that however is low if you know what was left out of the 2008 Swedish film.
At this point I'll be keen on what Jenkins can bring to his role.
