Serb Fantasy CHARLESTON AND VENDETTA Finds A New Home, Celebrates With New Trailer!

Are we looking forward to upcoming Serbian fantasy picture Charleston and Vendetta? Why yes, yes we are. And, thankfully, our chances of actually getting to see it just got a whole lot better. A swing by the official website today discovered that the whole thing had been redesigned and down at the bottom of the page was the logo of Luc Besson's Europa Corp. Besson knows a good thing when he sees it and when he sees good things he tends to buy them, which was the case here. Making the news even sweeter is a brand new trailer, every bit as impressive as the previous two, though it is unfortunately in a cranky format so I can't show it to you here. To get to it visit the official website, hit the link at the bottom right of the page, and then click on the truck. It's tasty. You'll also find the previous two trailers in the ScreenAnarchy player below the break.

Serbia in the 1920s, after The First World War - a beautiful, brutal land, suspended between East and West, between ancient magic and the forces of civilization. High in the mountains of this mysterious, battle-scarred country lays the village of Pokrp, whose men folk have been eradicated by generations of war. A village of lovelorn women, starving for men. When sisters Little Boginja and Ognjenka inadvertently kill Pokrp’s sole surviving male, a death sentence at the hands of the womenfolk seems certain. But they are granted a reprieve, on the condition that they find a living, virile man and bring him back to the village. Under the watchful eye of their grandmother’s soul, the feisty but innocent pair set out into the big, wide world. Lust, love, a hot-headed strongman and Belgrade’s lecherous dance hall king await them…
