THE REBEL's Dustin Nguyen Prepares To Set MONK ON FIRE!

Excellent news here for fans of recent Vietnamese actioner The Rebel - soon to hit these shores on DVD courtesy of Dragon Dynasty - from the mouth of lead villain Dustin Nguyen. Nguyen was here in Toronto recently to introduce a festival screening of Justin Lin's Finishing the Game and while here he let it slip that he's currently preparing a directorial effort of his own. Titled Monk on Fire Nguyen describes his film as an Asian western with bikes instead of horses, swords instead of guns and super powered monks. The Rebel director Charlie Nguyen (no relation) will be helping Dustin out behind the camera and all of the core Rebel group will also be involved. Like The Rebel, Monk on Fire will be shot entirely in Vietnam.
