After Afro Samurai, Eric Calderon Gives Us The Five Killers.

"It's not anime unless it's entirely Japanese!" say some, others will quite like the idea that Gonzo give us the animation side of things, more substantial writing will hopefully come from the minds of those inclined to have a greater sense of where anime does and does not hit the spot for audiences outside Japan. Not seen Afro Samurai myself, simply put off to some extent by the westernisation of stuff we all probably started watching unintentionally in westernised form, but I would happily sit down to take it in if I was sent a review copy. For now, my money goes elsewhere, but I do like the look of this next project from the same guy, and it's a nice 12 episode series so it should be easy to take in, and hopefully will avoid the drip-feeding of an eternally drifting story.
