Oddly taking a cue from the boys from "Hot Fuzz," Tarantino is now programming and inspiring a film festival to mark the debut of his upcoming project on April 6th.

It's no secret that two of my most anticipated films of the year are "Grindhouse" and "Hot Fuzz."

Thankfully, "Hot Fuzz" is not a bust, and possibly one of the best action movies in years, and I have nothing but high hopes for "Grindhouse," appearing in theaters soon, with a wonderfully gimmicky double feature for the price of one deal that fans are sure to find a sheer thrill from.

Quentin Tarantino will program and host the Los Angeles Grindhouse Film Festival 2007.

The event, running Sunday-April 30 at the New Beverly Cinema, will be a showcase for the 1970s films exploiting sex, violence and extreme subject matter that inspired "Grindhouse," with prints on loan from Tarantino's private collection, many unavailable on DVD and which have not screened theatrically in decades. Double and triple features of about seven different films will screen each week as part of the 50-film, eight-week series.

Theme nights will range from "Euro Sex Comedies Triple Feature" to the "All Blood Triple Feature."

The festival is yet another nail biting event that will garner many an envious groan from yours truly. Expect more information as it arrives.
