In an unprecedented manner Aleandro Amenabar's latest effort Mar Adentro (The Sea Inside) swept the Spanish Oscars (the Goya Awards) winning in 14 different categories.

The Sea Inside won in nearly every category worth mentioning- Best Actor (Javier Bardem), Best Director (Aleandro Amenabar), Best Actress (Lola Duenas), Best Make-Up, Best Production Supervision, Best Sound, Best Supporting Actor (Celso Bugallo), Best Supporting Actress (Mabel Rivera), and perhaps the most surprising award Best Original Score which the director Amenabar won as well.
In other categories the Turkish, living in Germany, director Fatih Akin (In July) won the Best European Production Award for his latest effort Head On.

Needless to say I am very much looking forward to the rumored R1 April release of The Sea Inside. You can find the Spanish website for the film - complete with trailers and an image gallery - here.
