What's this? It was just yesterday that we brought word that Indonesian director Joko Anwar (The Forbidden Door, Kala, Joni's Promise) would be launching production of his latest effort, a low budget horror effort titled Modus Anomali, this coming Monday. And today - still six days before production begins - we already have the first teaser.
During a vacation in the woods, a man tries to find his family who mysteriously disappear, while being hunted by a sadistic killer. His only clues are several alarm clocks which seem to tell him about a deadline to something he doesn't know.
Shot as a pre-production camera test this is a solid little bit of work, one that demonstrates that a good idea and a lot of talent will take you a long way. It also demonstrates that Anwar is taking the step into directing an English language feature with this one. Take a look below.
