A New Trailer Plus Caravaggio-Inspired Poster For Sundance Winner ANIMAL KINGDOM
[I'm bumping this back to the top of the page as I hadn't originally realized that this post included the new theatrical trailer for the film. It's fantastic. Watch it now.]

Australian poster designer Jeremy Saunders is known for pushing into interesting territory when it comes to inventing new key art - as his IMP Award-winning poster for Antichrist will attest.

Thus when he name drops early 17th century Italian artist Caravaggio as inspiration for his latest design, for Australian epic crime drama Animal Kingdom, it comes as no surprise.

The new poster was launched this week to promote the Australian cinema release in June (Sony Pictures Classics have secured US and Latin American rights, and the film has also sold to the UK, France, Italy, Russia and several other territories).

Australian distributor Madman also premiered an explosive new trailer for Animal Kingdom, which conveys some of the film's brooding menace, which also includes the seemingly incongruous Air Supply track All Out of Love (which actually scores an unforgettable moment in the film).
