THE SHELTER: Locked in an Empty House is Only The Beginning in The New Trailer
John Fallon's The Shelter will be released in cinemas and digital on Nov 4th followed by a DVD release on January 3rd from Uncork’d Entertainment. This is the debut feature film from the writer of American Muscle and the upcoming Billy Trigger with cult icon Fred Williamson. A new trailer came out for the flick which you can watch below.
On a star filled night, widower and homeless man Thomas Jacobs (Michael Paré) finds shelter for the night when he falls upon a vast two-story house with the lights on and an inviting open front door. He strolls on in thinking he just caught a lucky break and for a while, it would appear as though he did. But soon enough, he realizes that the house won’t let him leave, as its doors are all locked while its windows cannot be opened or broken. Destiny has brought Thomas to this place. What does it want from him? Will he survive the ordeal?
At first glance at John Fallon's docket he has written mostly micro-budget action fare over the years. The Shelter, at first glance appears to be on the same page as far as the financial spreadsheets would be concerned, looks to take a more metaphysical approach and feels more personal. It looks more like a chamber film; a journey into one's past and tragedies. An interesting departure for the multi-hyphanite Fallon. We shall see.
