Louis Leterrier Attached To Joe Hill's THE FIREMAN
Deadline recently reported that Louis Leterrier (Clash Of The Titans, The Transporter, Now You See Me) is attached to adapt Joe Hill's newest novel, The Fireman, for Fox. Hollywood is ramping up these days; Hill's book won't be available to readers until May 17.

The story is about a new kind of plague which causes the inflicted to suffer "dragon scale" (black and gold marks) before spontaneously combusting. Millions of people are affected as society falls. One man (of course) finds that he is somehow immune. He sets out to stop the marauders intent on killing those marked with dragon scale who seem to also have escaped the fiery part of the plague. This "fireman" leads a group that he finds willing to follow him.

Until both the book and film adaptation are released, you can read an excerpt at Entertainment Weekly here. Will you be watching and/or reading?
