Tom Holland Is Your New SPIDER-MAN, COP CAR's Jon Watts Will Direct
The wait is over! Ladies and gentlemen, Tom Holland is your new Spider-Man! Holland will first appear in Marvel's Captain America Civil War then in two stand-alone films for Sony in 2017.

Jon Watts, director of Sundance flick Cop Car, will take the director's chair.

The final decision was made by Marvel head honcho Kevin Feige, Spider-Man producer Amy Pascal and Civil War directing duo Joe and Anthony Russo.

What do you think? Did they get it right?

Hopefully they skip the origin story this round and go straight to new adventures? Can't see there being much of a rabid fan base considering the franchise is now on it's third contemporary reboot.

They are. From what I remember, when the first movie begins, Peter is already an active Spider-Man.

He's 19 and 5'8''. I thought they were going to go with a 15 year old Peter Parker this time, to be true to the source material and all. Not to mention he's a limey. Oh well. Looking forward to the reboot after this one already. Shouldn't be too long. Harrumph.

How many times are they going to reboot this crap?

Friggin' tea bags. I guess Spiderman joins Batman and Superman as franchises I'll never watch movies of ever again.

Ugh. Look at that mug. I'm sure his fake accent's just as bad.
