YELLOW FLOWERS ON GREEN GRASS: Victor Vu's Melodrama Gets A Poetic First Trailer
After taking some rest from making thriller movies, Victor Vu has finally come back with a new melodrama, Yellow Flowers on Green Grass (lit. Tôi thấy hoa vàng trên cỏ xanh), based on a best-selling novel. The first trailer is now out and has received many exciting reactions. With the soft melody of a folk song, the pastoral images in Vietnam appear beautiful and feel majestic.

Viet Linh penned the screenplay, based on the original story of famous writer Nguyen Nhat Anh. The 300-page book is divided into 81 short chapters. Each chapter is a small story seen through the eyes of a child in a village: the tale of "Heaven Toad", a ghost story, a princess, a prince, hungry people, house fires, and floods.

Yellow Flowers on Green Grass is scheduled to be released in August. You can watch the trailer below.
