Nick Park Preps EARLY MAN With StudioCanal
Based on the smashing European success of Shaun The Sheep The Movie, the stop-motion masters at Aardman will be reteaming with StudioCanal for Early Man, Nick Park's first feature directorial outing since Wallace And Gromit: The Curse Of The Were-Rabbit.

StudioCanal and co-financier BFI will be taking the project, about a caveman teaming up with wooly mammoths against a common foe (saber-tooth tiger anyone?), to the Cannes sales market later next week.

While Aardman's box office can't compare to a juggernaut like Pixar, I'd say they are the only other all-ages friendly production outfit that has as consistently strong a creative track record as Lasseter and co. And it's damn fine to hear a pioneer like Park is back in the director's chair. I for one can't wait to see their take on the prehistoric. What say you? Let us know with a comment below.
