Paul Sorvino, Robert Knepper And Stéfano Gallo To Star In Gambling Thriller COLD DECK In Toronto
Production of gambling thriller Cold Deck will begin here in Toronto on September 30th. The film stars Paul Sorvino (Goodfellas and Jersey Shore Shark Attack), Robert Knepper (Prison Break, Heroes and SGU) and Stéfano Gallo (The Collapsed and I Choose Chaos).
Stuck in a dead-end job that can barely pay for his mother's medical care, Bobby Locke's (Gallo) only escape is poker. His skills at the table are put to the test regularly at 'Scruples', a club run by an enigmatic father-figure affectionately known as 'Chips' (Sorvino). Fed up with his lot in life, Bobby decides to seize the opportunity that arises when he is invited to a secret high-roller game, and along with his friend Ben, plots to rob these wealthy businessmen. Unfortunately, the game is presided by Turk (Knepper) who viciously sets out to get revenge. Now Bobby is caught up in a new kind of game, one that could threaten his very survival.
Zack Bernbaum (And Now a Word From Our Sponsor) will direct a screenplay by written Jason Lapeyre (I Declare War, Cold Blooded and The Unauthorized Saved By The Bell Story) and Stéfano Gallo.
Gallo will also exec produce under his Scooping Owl Productions banner. Jesse Ikeman and Jeff Glickman from Sudden Storm Entertainment will be producing the film. Justin McConnell (The Collapsed and Skull World) and Zack Bernbaum will executive produce the flick.
