Kurosawa And Asano Reunite For JOURNEY TO THE SHORE

After some false starts it appears Japanese auteur Kurosawa Kiyoshi has himself a new project and he's bringing a familiar face with him.

Film Biz Asia reports that Kurosawa's Bright Future star Asano Tadanobu will take the male lead opposite Fukatsu Eri in an adaptation of Yumoto Kazumi's novel Journey To The Shore. Fukatsu plays a woman whose husband (Asano) suddently reappears following a three year absence.

With releases already scheduled in France and Japan this one is moving ahead quickly and given that their last collaboration was a high point for both, fans of both Asano and Kurosawa should be looking ahead for this one.
