GOTHIC LOLITA BATTLE BEAR: Check The Full Trailer For Iguchi's Latest Oddity

Nobody does weird quite like Japanese cult director Iguchi Noboru. First rocketing to international attention with titles such as Machine Girl and Robo Geisha, and though he's been featured in some of the world's most prestigious festivals since - Karate Robo Zaborgar premiered in Rotterdam, for instance - he's never backed away from his trademark oddities.

And with Iguchi soon to return to Japanese screens with the January release of Gothic Lolita Battle Bear (known as Nuiglumar Z in Japanese) well, you've got to have at least a little bit of an idea of what's coming, right? Nakagawa Shoko stars with Takeda Rina in this one, based on a book by Ohtsuki Kenji of the rock band Tokusatsu and the brand new theatrical trailer is chock full of Japanese girls in insanely frilly dresses, hordes of the undead, alien fluff, and a highly dangerous talking teddy bear.
