Shudder With The First Teaser For Danish Horror POSTPARTUM
Ah, children. We're supposed to love 'em all the time but if we're honest the process of making them is kind of icky, kind of sticky while having them is even moreso, smells bad, and - if I may dare a very bad pun - has a tendency to leave parents leaving rather hollow after such a long build up.

Enter Danish director Michael Panduro and his debut feature, Postpartum.

Postpartum is a feature length tale of having children - and all the bodily horrors that come with it. It's a psychological, slightly surreal and very gory horror-film, that plays on the idea of children as parasites and explores themes not normally seen in Danish cinema. Think Cronenberg's The Brood mixed with Von Trier's Antichrist and you're getting close.
Not the sort of thing that tends to get made within the conventional Danish system, Panduro is currently orchestrating a crowd funding campaign for the film - find all the details of that here - and to prove he can pull it off he has released a supremely uncomfortable first teaser. Icky. Shudder. Check it below.
