First Official Poster For Joss Whedon And Drew Goddard's THE CABIN IN THE WOODS

While the financial collapse of MGM left many fretting over the future of the venerable James Bond franchise the movie I was most worried about was the Joss Whedon penned horror picture The Cabin In The Woods. Sure, MGM's financial woes delayed the new Bond a little bit but the spy franchise is simply worth too much money to be allowed to die and it was always certain that someone would swoop in to save it. That was not the case for Cabin, a little horror movie with a largely unknown cast that had been completed right before MGM ran out of money and was left sitting on a shelf for years.

A group of friends at a cabin retreat scratch the surface of something so massive and horrific that they can only begin to fathom it as time quickly runs out.

Luckily Lionsgate stepped in to save the picture and with an April release planned they have just released the first poster for the film over at Aint It Cool. And, yeah, it's a good one.
