Richard Kelly Stepping Away From The SciFi With CORPUS CHRISTIE
We're a bit late to the game with this one - the European Film Market was kind of a madhouse - but being a fan of Richard Kelly and his work I don't want to let it go by without comment.

The writer-director of Donnie Darko and Southland Tales has announced his next project, a dark drama about a returning veteran of the Iraq conflict titled Corpus Christie.

Kelly is again writing, directing and producing with Eli Roth also on board as a producer. I find Roth's involvement here interesting as the two - who have known each other for years - both have very distinct tastes, both are used to maintaining a high level of control and Roth has proven that he is a very active and hands on guy when he steps into the producers role. My guess is that the pair of men are going to push each other a fair bit, but in a good way. We'll be keeping a close eye on this one.
