The Producers Of [REC] Dive Into Satanic Horror With EXORCISMUS And We've Got The First Trailer!
Satan is hot right now. With the critical success of films like The House of the Devil and the imminent arrival of Daniel Stamm's excellent The Last Exorcism we're seeing more of Lucifer on the big screen these days than we have since the heyday of The Exorcist, Rosemary's Baby and The Omen. And nowhere has playing the demon card paid off better than in Spain where the addition of an netherworld element to the [REC] franchise in [REC]2 added an entirely unexpected and very welcome wrinkle to the proceedings.

So now, after dabbling with the demonic, the producers of [REC] are diving in headfirst with Manuel Carballo's English language feature Exorcismus.

Fifteen-year-old Emma Evans is like any other teenage girl; she thinks that her parents don't understand her. She longs for independence and a life free of family ties and responsibilities and she is prepared to do anything to achieve it. But one day she will be forced to face up to the consequences of her actions.

Life seems to be carrying on as normal, until one day Emma starts experiencing frightening fits. Her parents are convinced that her problems are either medical or psychological, but when doctors´ tests are unable to draw any conclusions, the family is forced to look elsewhere for answers.

It all started off as a bit of fun, Emma never really believed it, but the truth is there is something dark and sinister within her, and it won't take long to surface.
With the film now preparing to launch on the festival circuit, production company Filmax have been good enough to give us a first look at the trailer. Check it below.
