Ah, Isabella, how we love you. I remember back in the day, when Isabella Rossellini was still married to David Lynch everyone kind of assumed that the relationship was of the beauty and beast sort of nature, with Lynch playing the part of the freak. I mean, the man once gave her a dismembered fish nailed to a board as a gift.
But Rossellini has been embracing her own inner freak of late, causing a huge splash early in 2008 with the first installment of her Green Porno series. Porno? Rossellini? Really? Yup, but not just any porn ... no, this was a series of short films in which the famous beauty dressed up as a variety of insects and acted out their mating rituals. She'd gone and made bug porn.
And now she's back at it, bringing a pair of new Green Porno program - and an art installation - to Toronto as part of the 2009 edition of the Toronto International Film Festival. Only this time it's fish. And we've got your first look in the gallery below! And, yes, the bugs are still there, too.
