Rob Brydon's 'Supernova' Series One, R2 UK DVD September 4th 2006.

Returning early August 2006 for Series Two here in the U.K on the BBC, Brydon's fish-out-of-water comedy in which he plays Dr.Paul Hamilton, an Astronomer who travels to work in Australia, was on the recieving end of mixed reviews but remained something easy to watch that was both relatively familiar (ideal for existing Brydon fans) and somethng new (the Australian co-production and setting elements make it a little exotic) for potential new fans also.
You can expect some of the typical British Uptightness versus Aussie Passion if you choose to watch, which hopefully many will, as it's a show which grows on you gradually and unfortunately ended a little too soon with what remains fairly typical - a six-episode short series. Some great culture clash comedy then, good little stories that involve both the people and their profession nicely, and it all works together for an ideal late-night viewing experience on a weekly basis.
Unfortunately, right now the Official Site which existed for Series One has disappeared, will hopefully return in time for Series Two with some good clips to show you what the program is like...for now :
