The Japan Times has just run reviews of Yoji Yamada's The Hidden Blade and Chan Wook Park's Old Boy.

The Hidden Blade is Yoji Yamada's follow up to his Oscar nominated Twilight Samurai and is one of the more anticipated films out of Japan this year. The review is here and you can check out the trailer here.

As for the Old Boy review, let's just say that around these parts we have a rather different opinion of the film than do the folks at The Japan Times. Their review does, however, make for one mighty entertaining read.

"Why? Well, that's not a question we're supposed to ask. In the emotionally retarded world of manga, women are always waiting to throw themselves at nutters; it's part of the fantasy being serviced."

Come on! Tell us how you really feel! Stop holding back! You can check out the full review here ...
