SWEDISH DICKS: Watch The Trailer For Peter Stormare Comedy

We've been keeping an eye out for news of Swedish Dicks since we first caught wind of the PEter Stormare and Johan Glans starring comedy about a pair of Swedes eking out a living as private eyes in Hollywood. Stormare alone in this sort of concept makes it must watch material in my book and when word came out that they'd somehow convinced Keanu Reeves to join the cast - no small feat for a series funded on a small budget by a Scandinavian streaming service - well, that just spiked the anticipation.

An American release partner has not yet been released - at least not to my knowledge - but with the first episode of the series hitting Viaplay on September 2nd there are now a collection of teasers out there and with the show being dominantly English language, there's no reason not to giggle along. Check out the main series trailer below!

I have seen seven episodes by now and I must say I really like it! The quality of the show has it's ups and downs but in general it's good fun! It's full of twisted, dry humour and I really like that. Stormare and Glans are great chartacters on their own and work very well together. Stormares character Ingmar is a lone wolf and a former stuntman who began making a living as a "dick" ten years ago after being accused of causing his best friend and colleague's death when they were working on a stunt for a low budget movie. He is still haunted by that. Due to a series of unexpected events he ends up being forced to hiring Axel (Glans), a fairly successful DJ and hitmaker who has grown tired of his life, as a partner. Axel is nervous, neurotic and a very talkative man and it's not hard to understand that Ingmar very soon ends up being pretty annoyed with his mere presence. We get to follow them and Ingmar's crazy and hilarious North Korean (!) office cleaner Sun (played by the excellent Vivian Bang) on their sometimes bizarre missions together as dicks. Felisha Cooper (as Ingmar's daughter), Traci Lords (as Ingmar's fierce detective competitor) and Keanu Reeves (as ... well you have to see for yourself, I don't want to spoil too much) makes great cameos in the show.
