Yakuza Turned Priest Returns To Violence In Russian Action PRIEST: CONFESSION OF A SAMURAI

There appears to be a pretty fascinating collision of cultures at the center of upcoming Russian action picture Priest: Confession of a Samurai. Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa stars in the picture as a former yakuza turned Orthodox priest pulled back into his former violent life when his past returns to haunt him.

Bad guy gone good stories are certainly nothing new at their core but this one has a very unusual setting working in its favor along with a hugely respected character actor at its center along with a top notch local cast and what looks to be sterling production values. Check out the trailer below.
