Mayhem Film Festival Returns, Before Hallowe'en?

The folks at the Mayhem Film Festival in Nottingham, England, are busy planning for their annual festival this Fall. They have just announced their dates for this year's festival. In a change of routine the festival will run a couple week prior to the Hallowe'en weekend which has been their go-to weekend for a while now. This year the festival will run from October 15th through the 18th. 

This year, Mayhem Film Festival moves away from its traditional Halloween slot to reflect its much broader programme. Originally created as a horror film festival, Mayhem has expanded its horizons, looking at the darker side of sci-fi and cult cinema and television, whilst keeping its core horror focus. Last year, Mayhem also hosted Teen Mayhem, a day of events dedicated to pre-teens and young teenagers with a curiosity for the genre.
