LONELY STARS Trailer Hits Like A Blast Of Latino John Waters
Mexican director Fernando Urdapilleta burst on to our radar a few years back now with his short film Cosita Linda (Pretty Little Thing), a brilliantly grimy coming of age / revenge tale with a truly shocking twist that burned it up on the festival circuit and left audiences waiting for the day Urdapilleta would make the step to features. And after a sojourn in the world of commercials, music video an AD work he's finally done so with his debut feature Estrellas Solitarias (Lonely Stars) and with the film due to premiere in Guadalajara later this month the first trailer has arrived online.

A deliberate cult film with obvious overtones of John Waters, we've been tracking this tale of drag queens on the fringes of Mexican society for quite some time now but why talk about it when you can experience it for yourself. Check out the fantastic trailer below.
