THE BLOB Will Ooze Its Way Into Cinemas Once Again
Alas, now it is our turn to be called old, Goldcrest Films is going to be producing a new The Blob this Summer. Simon West, who started out with Con Air and Lara Croft: Tomb Raider around the turn of the twenty-first century is attached to direct. West did a bunch of TV work throughout the rest of the 2000s then got back onto the big screen with a couple Jason Statham flicks (The Mechanic and the upcoming Wild Card) and The Expendables 2.

Goldcrest will launch sales and distribution of the film at this year's EFM in Berlin.
