Descend Into Horror With Trailer For Aja Produced THE PYRAMID

A long time collaborator with Alexandre Aja - for whom he wrote Haute Tension, The Hills Have Eyes and Mirrors while also producing Piranha 3D - Gregory Levasseur steps into the director's chair for his feature debut The Pyramid, with Aja returning the favor and serving in a producer role.

And what have they cooked up? If the trailer is anything to go by the duo is gunning for the sort of subterranean claustrophobia that drove Neil Marshall's The Descent with the action transposed to the inside of an ancient Egyptian pyramid. Yes, there's something still alive in there and it may not have been the best idea to crack it open.
