Impressive Trailer For New Zealand Drama FANTAIL
Produced under the auspices of New Zealand's low budget Escalator film support scheme, director Curtis Vowell and writer / star Sophie Henderson looked to have cooked up something quite compelling with their feature film Fantail.
Tania thinks she's Maori. She works the graveyard shift at Horizon to save money to take her brother Pi to Surfers. But one night a cheeky little bird ruins everything and Tania pays the ultimate price for being a hero.
A bit of a cultural identity social drama, a bit of a romance, the obviously quality cast, firm direction, and a willingness to go dark make this one worth taking a look at. Check out the trailer below.
