Stellan Skarsgard And A Battered Kristofer Hivju Share A Laugh In First Shot From THE PRIZE IDIOT

Director Hans Petter Moland won a lot of fans around these parts with his 2010 effort A Somewhat Gentle Man. The Berlin selected comedy starred Stellan Skarsgard as a man freshly released from prison and trying to put his life back together and was laced with such a brilliantly understated and darkly absurd sense of humor that it was impossible not to fall for both the character and the film. And now Moland and Skarsgard are back together for The Prize Idiot (Kraftidioten).

Nils drives a snow blower and lives a carefree life in the winter paradise, Beitostølen. His son's sudden death puts him in the middle of a drug war between Norwegian mafia and the Serbians. In this world he is a beginner - armed with heavy machinery and beginners luck.
What you see below - and you can click it to enlarge - is the first image released from the film thus far. And, yes, if the guy with the battered face next to Skarsgard looks familiar to you, that's because it's Kristofer Hivju - better known these days as Tormund Giantsbane from Game Of Thrones.
